​Before Your First Appointment

To help make your first visit smoother, here are a few things to do before you arrive:

  • Insurance: If you have dental insurance, please call us at 410-647-3883, so we can verify your benefits ahead of time. This will save you time and help us process any claims more easily.

  • X-rays: If you’ve had x-rays taken at a previous dental office, feel free to have them emailed to us before your visit. If additional x-rays are needed, we can take them during your appointment.

  • New Patient Forms: Please complete the new patient registration forms before your visit.

What to Bring to Your First Appointment

To make sure we have everything we need for your appointment, please bring the following:

  • Any x-rays from your previous dentist (if applicable)

  • A list of any medications you’re currently taking

Important: If you're under 18, please be sure to have a parent or guardian with you for your visit.

Also, let us know if you have any medical conditions that could affect your treatment (such as diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves or joints, etc.) or if you’re taking any medications (like heart meds, aspirin, or blood thinners). We want to ensure your treatment is safe and comfortable.

What to Expect at Your First Appointment

We’re excited to meet you at your first visit! Here’s what you can expect during your appointment:

  • A review of your complete health history

  • A full set of digital x-rays (if needed)

  • A comprehensive oral exam

  • A head, neck, and oral cancer screening

  • Gum measurements to assess your oral health

  • Intraoral photos of your teeth

  • A consultation to discuss any treatment needs

  • A dental cleaning or debridement
